About BLLC
The Black Legacy & Leadership Coalition (BLLC) was created to amplify, protect, and honor the voices of legacy residents across the city of Atlanta. Rooted in community, culture, and collective action, the coalition brings together community leaders, faith leaders, and business leaders committed to preserving the history, identity, and legacy of Atlanta's historic Black communities.
Through advocacy, education, storytelling, civic engagement, and strategic collaboration, BLLC works to ensure that the people who built these communities remain seen, heard, and empowered as Atlanta continues to grow and evolve.
To protect, preserve, and empower Atlanta's Black legacy communities through collective leadership, advocacy, and action.
An Atlanta where legacy communities and their residents are heard, respected, and included in the development of Atlanta's future.
As Atlanta grows and rapidly develops, many longtime Black residents face displacement, erasure, and exclusion. BLLC exists to ensure that the people who built Atlanta remain part of its future.
